3D/4D Scans

3D & 4D baby scans are advanced ultrasound techniques used during pregnancy to create 3 dimensions and 4 dimensional pictures and videos of the baby inside mother. They provide more realistic and real time images of the features of the baby.

Why 3D & 4D scans are performed ?

These scans are non-diagnostic ultrasound scans and used to see the facial and body features of the baby. They are used for creating keepsakes, bonding with baby and enjoying a more detailed view of the fetus.

When they are performed?

3D/4D scan can be performed from 25 – 35 weeks ( best at 28 – 30 weeks). To take note this scan depends on fetal position, amount of amniotic fluid and maternal habitus.

Preparation:

No specific preparation is needed for this scan.

Timing:

It usually takes 20-30 minutes.
