Genetic testing for celiac disease is recommended for individuals with a family history of the condition or those experiencing symptoms , associated with an adverse response to gluten or a gluten-related disorder, helping identify the presence of specific genetic markers associated with an increased risk, facilitating early detection and management.

How to prepare for the blood test appointment?

You don’t need any special preparation for this blood test. Perhaps we advise you to:

  • Drink plenty of water 24 hours before your appointment. This will make the blood drawing process easier.
  • Stop eating for several hours before the test.
  • Avoid alcohol 1-2 days before the test.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise before the test.
  • Wear loose and comfortable clothing to allow easy access to both arms and hands

 

It generally takes 2- 3 business days to process and release your test results. However, processing times may vary.
