FBC is a broad screening blood test that checks abnormalities in the cells of the blood, which may indicate any important underlying medical disease/condition.
Your blood carries three main types of cells:
- Red Blood Cells (RBCs) contain haemoglobin (Hb) that mainly helps carry oxygen around our body.
- White Blood Cells (WBCs) help fight infections.
- Platelet helps with blood clotting and stops bleeding.
