Bone Profile is a blood test used to assess certain minerals and enzymes in your blood to evaluate your bone health, to check for the risk of osteoporosis and other bone conditions; or monitor the effects of certain diseases and treatments.
Perform this blood test if you are at risk of bone disorders, osteoporosis, or nutritional deficiencies.
This includes postmenopausal women, individuals with a history of fractures, those on certain medications, and those with conditions affecting bone health.
How to prepare for the blood test appointment?
You don’t need any special preparation for this blood test. Perhaps we advise you to:
- Drink plenty of water 24 hours before your appointment. This will make the blood drawing process easier.
- Stop eating for several hours or overnight before the test.
- Avoid alcohol 1-2 days before the test.
- Avoid strenuous exercise before the test.
- Wear loose and comfortable clothing to allow easy access to both arms and hands.
