Vitamins and minerals blood tests are designed to measure markers in your blood, and are helpful in diagnosing vitamins / minerals deficiencies or an excess, or overabundance of particular vitamins.
How to prepare for the blood test appointment?
- Avoid taking iron supplements 12 hours prior to your blood test.
- Drink plenty of water 24 hours before your appointment. This will make the blood drawing process easier.
- Stop eating for several hours or overnight before the test.
- Avoid alcohol 1-2 days before the test.
- Avoid strenuous exercise before the test.
- Wear loose and comfortable clothing to allow easy access to both arms and hands.

It generally takes 2- 3 business days to process and release your test results. However, processing times may vary.Â
